Reflections Training Academy are currently looking for an enthusiastic and creative skills deliverer within functional skills (Maths & English) to apply for role:

Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

· The ability to work with learners, on an individual and group basis, applying a creative thinking approach when delivering basic Functional skills (Maths and English) up to level 2.

· To be creative with the delivery of teaching, keeping sessions motivating engaging and interactive.

· To plan and prepare learning materials/resources in meeting individual learner needs requirements.

· To support learners in building personal confidence and to assist with their personal developments.

· To support the academy in gaining and producing positive outcomes.

· Friendly, approachable professional team player able to work on own initiative with excellent communication skills.

· To support learners in setting their personal targets and goals and monitoring their performance.

· To provide one to one guidance and support to learners at the Academy and their workplace.

· Candidates to have relevant subject teaching qualification (desirable)

Hairdressing Tutor/Assessor Position

Location – Birmingham

Reflections Training Academy are currently looking to recruit a creative, enthusiastic and professional team member to join our Hairdressing Reflections team full time based in the centre of Birmingham.

The ideal candidate will need to have and demonstrate the following qualities:


•    A Passion for Hairdressing and enjoy delivering training to young people in developing their individual needs and skills

•    Creativity and confident to deliver Hairdressing work to groups of learners and one to one

•    D32/33 –A1 CAVA (preferred, not essential or significant/sufficient experience in Hairdressing)

•    Strong communication skills, friendly approachable and able to initiate ideas

•    Ability to prioritise, good organisational skills and able to adhere to deadlines and targets

•    Flexible approach and able to inspire and motivate your learning

Tutor/Assessor Duties to include:

•    To have full competency and a passion to support learners with the delivery and assessing of Apprenticeships in the following areas:
•    Hairdressing Level 1
•    Hairdressing Level 2
•    Hairdressing Level 3

•    Approachable professional team player with excellent communication skills

•    The successful candidate will be working with learners and employers in raising the standards, quality of training and maintaining the grade 1 provision offered

•    To work with young people in developing the personal skills and supporting them to develop with their chosen career

•    To support the delivery of underpinning of knowledge through training sessions workshops and contribute towards the delivery of new standards

•    All workshops and sessions to be prepared offering inspiring engaging and interactive delivery in promoting the industry skills required and future job roles. 

•    To monitor learner progress and performance in meeting their individual needs, aspirations and set targets

•    To schedule timely visits and carry out assessments/training within the workplace and monitor their individual plan against their personal progression

•    Ability to demonstrate high quality training with up to date standards to an advanced level

•    Excellent communication skills with a high level of personal presentation/team player/friendly and professional

•    A driving licence is essential with access to your own vehicle
