We offer a range of work based Apprenticeships, adult courses, quality study programme and Traineeships from our nationally recognised Hairdressing and Barbering courses. With bespoke opportunities for both Employers and Learners throughout the South West and Midlands, we have two state of the art Academies in the heart of Bristol and Birmingham.
Hairdressing and Barbering Courses
We have a team of inspirational Tutors teaching at the academy with a passion for Hairdressing and Barbering, holding a strong reputation within the industry and with continued national learner success and achievements.
Reflections offer a range of high-quality study programmes and traineeships for 16 -18yr olds that are a bridge for young people that want to start a career via an Apprenticeship.
Traineeship
Is for any young people that need developing confidence in the workplace. Learners will start on the programme with the main element of the course being work experience. Any additional support with Math’s and English will also be addressed and developed throughout the programme. Learners on a traineeship programme will secure a successful outcome of employment or an apprenticeship within 6 months of the start of the programme.
Study Programme
Reflections also offer a 26-week pre-apprenticeship Study programme alongside traineeship courses with the core aim of level 2 Hairdressing and Barbering, Maths and English, employability skills inclusive of work experience.
Additionally, study programme courses are available for young people needing upskilling in Maths and English and work readiness. During the course, learners have the opportunity to review progression and options with a robust signposting process to ensure achievement and next step goals are met.
Our Academy Pre-Apprenticeship programmes bridge the gap for young people securing employment or offering next step opportunities building, confidence, skills and qualifications.
General entry requirements:
All learners have the opportunity to succeed with no minimum entry requirements and offer support and guidance if required. All you need is an interest in the world of hair and the enthusiasm to learn.

We provide flexible Training days based on Theory and Practical sessions along with interactive online sessions.
BARBERING
Our highly popular Barbering courses will give you the skills and confidence you need to work towards becoming a pro Barber.

Multiple state of the art studios including the Barbering Suite
Lecture rooms with interactive presentation equipment and training resources to support learner work
Fully equipped Computer Suites available for Learner’s to work on their assignments with internet access for research

The Academy also has full disabled access facilities with an accessible lift to the first floor
Award Winners
Our Learners are given the opportunity to take part in company and national hairdressing and barbering competitions to showcase their skills. Learners at Reflections Training Academy have competed and walked away with first prize winning Gold at the Wella Xposure competition.
