There are no course fees to pay.
To get started, you’ll need a starter kit, electrical tools and a training block head.
Entry Requirements
The only entry requirement is that you’re you’re aged 16+ with a passion for hairdressing and a willingness to learn.
Course Overview
Looking for a Hairdressing Apprenticeship Level 2 in Bristol or Birmingham? Our Hair Professional apprenticeship gives you the chance to train in a real salon, gain hands-on experience and work towards a nationally recognised qualification.
You’ll work in a real salon, building confidence and practical skills while learning from experienced stylists and tutors. Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll develop everything from cutting and colouring techniques to client care, professionalism and salon skills – all while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have the experience, confidence and industry knowledge to begin a successful career in hairdressing.
Our Hairdressing Apprenticeships are available for learners across Bristol, Birmingham, Bath, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, North Somerset and the surrounding areas.
What You’ll Learn on Your Hairdressing Apprenticeship:
Throughout your apprenticeship you’ll develop the practical skills, knowledge and confidence needed to become a full-qualified professional hairdresser.
You’ll learn:
- Precision cutting techniques
- Colouring, lightening and toning
- Styling and finishing
- Client consultation and communication
- Shampooing and treatments
- Product knowledge and recommendations
- Health & safety and professional standards
- Customer service and salon teamwork
- Professional behaviours expected in a modern salon
You’ll also receive regular support from our experienced tutors, helping you develop both your technical ability and confidence throughout your apprenticeship.
End Point Assessment
At the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll complete an End-Point Assessment (EPA) to demonstrate the skills and knowledge you’ve developed throughout your programme.
Your EPA includes:
- Knowledge Test – A multiple-choice test covering the theory you’ve learned.
- Practical Assessment – You’ll demonstrate your hairdressing skills by completing a range of practical services while being observed by an independent assessor.
- Professional Discussion – An independent assessor will ask you questions based on what you do. You will have access to your portfolio which you will have built throughout your apprenticeship.
Your tutors will prepare you every step of the way, so you’ll feel confident and ready when it’s time to complete your final assessment.
