Can you talk us through your journey with Reflections Training Academy so far?
My journey with Reflections Training Academy has been really positive and rewarding.
I started on the Full Time Programme and just finished my Level 2, where I built strong foundations in hairdressing & barbering. As I progressed, my confidence and skills grew, and I was able to move forward through my qualification while gaining real salon experience. So far, I’ve achieved Level 2 Hairdressing Apprenticeship and feel proud of how far I’ve come, both professionally and personally.
What key skills has Reflections helped you develop?
Reflections has helped me develop a wide range of skills. Technically, I’ve improved in areas such as cutting, styling, colouring, and client consultations. On a personal level, I’ve gained much more confidence, better communication skills, and a strong sense of professionalism. I’ve also learned the importance of time management, teamwork, and providing excellent customer service in a real salon environment.
Who inspires you the most within the hairdressing or barbering industry, and why?
I’m inspired by professionals in the industry who are passionate, creative, and constantly developing their skills. I really admire people who push trends forward while still focusing on making clients feel confident and valued. They motivate me to keep learning and to always give my best in my own work.
Why would you recommend a hairdressing or barbering apprenticeship with Reflections Training Academy?
I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship with Reflections because of the support and encouragement they provide. The trainers are knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely want you to succeed. What advice would you give to someone considering a career in hairdressing or barbering, and is there anything else you’d like to share or celebrate?
My advice would be to stay committed, be open to learning, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes – that’s how you improve. Hairdressing and barbering are creative, rewarding careers if you’re passionate and willing to put the effort in. I’m really proud of how far I’ve come with Reflections Training Academy and excited to continue growing and developing within the industry.
