What will I do in this course?
You will gain the skills you need to start a successful career in Barbering and will learn about working in the industry. During your time at the Academy there will opportunities to participate in regional competitions where Reflections Training Academy have achieved many awards.
Functional skills in Maths and English will also be taught throughout your course unless you gained these qualifications in school.

The overall grade (pass/distinction) for the apprenticeship will be determined by an end-point assessment.
On-programme stage
On-programme training and assessment is carried out by achieving the Diploma for Hair Professionals, which consists of the units shown below:
Consultation
Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
Cutting hair using barbering techniques to create a variety of looks
Style and finish men’s hair
Cut facial hair into shape
Shaving services
The end-point assessment tests the skills, knowledge and behaviours set out in the standards by:
1) A practical assessment
2) Oral questioning. It is the final stage of the Diploma for Hair Professionals (Barbering) which is required for completion of the Hair Professional apprenticeship
Professionalism and values, behaviours and communication, and safe working practices are embedded within the qualification units.
