Tips and Hints about Joining Reflections

  1. In your first week take up any offers of going out with other new learners, it`s a good way to make friends.
  2. Get involved with the induction activities, they are designed to get you to know others in your group.
  3. If anything gets too confusing, don`t be afraid to ask; it may not be a silly question.
  4. Visit our resource rooms, we have a selection of books on hair, beauty, fashion and other general reading. See your tutor for more information.
  5. We support you by arranging learner focus groups. These can help your progression and confidence and we would encourage you to join up.
  6. We have a range of support mechanisms that can help and support you should you have any concerns or problem that affect your safety or well being. Please feel free to look through our "Whats Up" information folder or contact our safeguarding officers for more help.
  7. We provide a free and confidential service available to all our learners. Whatever your worry, whether its personal, work or training related our safeguarding officers are available to listen and support you in a non-judgemental way.
  8. We have acted and have made many improvement from your feedback. We have a suggestion box located in the learner chill out room, where you can post your feedback to enable us to continue to improve our training services to you.
  9. It`s scary coming to a new environment, but our friendly tutor team are here to help you; remember - they were once in your shoes..!
